Two campaigns created by St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) and its agency, Momentum Advertising & Design, have earned top honors in the Aster Awards competition. Sponsored by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images, Inc., the competition is one of the largest of its kind. The national program recognizes outstanding health care professionals for excellence in advertising/marketing.
The 2009 Aster Awards consisted of approximately 3,000 entries from across the country. Judging criteria includes creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. SLCH and Momentum Advertising & Design earned awards for print/radio/billboard campaigns promoting the hospital’s Center for Joint Replacement and Orthopedic Program (Silver) and comprehensive Cancer Program (Bronze).
“It’s gratifying that these campaigns not only educated the public about new and important health services, but also were recognized as outstanding marketing programs, said Judi Stokes, SLCH Director of Marketing and Public Affairs. “It’s a pleasure to work collaboratively with Momentum Advertising & Design in the development of these and other successful initiatives that provide valuable information to our community.”
“We are extremely proud to have been selected for these distinguished awards,” said Steve Mayhew, President of Momentum Advertising & Design. “It is particularly rewarding to earn these awards in conjunction with our client, St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, which is intimately involved in the creative process. These awards help illustrate how having a symbiotic working relationship with a client can result in the development of a highly successful marketing campaign,” continued Mayhew.
Entries in the Aster Awards were judged by a diverse panel of health care marketing experts. All winners are posted on the Aster Awards’ website (www.AsterAwards.com), as well as published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national health care marketing magazine.
