St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital is proud to announce Lucia Florio, of New Windsor, as its March Star of the Month. A 20-year employee, Florio is a Phlebotomist at the Laboratory’s Hudson Valley Imaging site in New Windsor. She is best known for her gentle care and dedication to patients. "Lucia is truly professional in her work. Her calm, confident manner and compassion allow her to have a real connection with patients.She goes the extra mile to listen to patients’ concerns and answer their questions,” said Theresa Dering, MS, MT (ASCP) DLM, Laboratory Director. “The dedication Lucia exhibits every day is truly stellar. We’re fortunate to have her on our Laboratory team.” Surprised by this special recognition, Florio said, “I’m honored to receive this award; it’s a privilege to work with patients every day. I enjoy helping others and am proud to be part of the SLCH family.” |
