Prominent Neurosurgeons Join SLCH Medical Staff

Newburgh, NY – St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital is proud to announce that the neurosurgeons from Hudson Valley Neurosurgical Associates –

Drs. Jeffrey Degen, G. Alexander Jones, Jeffrey Oppenheim and Daniel Spitzer – have joined our medical staff. They are seeing patients in their new office at the Cornwall Medical Pavilion, and will perform surgery at SLCH. Members of the group have consistently been named “top doctors” in publications including New York and Hudson Valley magazines.

Hudson Valley Neurosurgical Associates physicians believe in a personalized, conservative approach to treating spinal and cranial problems and have been providing neurosurgical care to patients in the Hudson Valley for 20 years. For those who require surgery, the physicians are committed to offering the most progressive techniques and technology available, such as minimally invasive spinal surgery, to reduce trauma and speed recovery.

Jeffrey W. Degen, M.D. – Graduate of Princeton University; Cornell University Medical College; Neurosurgical Residency at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington D.C.

G. Alexander Jones, M.D. – Graduate of Ohio State University; Ohio State University College of Medicine; Neurosurgical Residency at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland OH

Jeffrey S. Oppenheim, M.D. – Graduate of Princeton University; Cornell University Medical College; neurosurgical residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York City

Daniel E. Spitzer, M.D. – Graduate of Princeton University; NYU School of Medicine; Neurosurgical Residency at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center, New York City
