More than 80 St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (SLCH)
employees were honored in an awards ceremony held
at Anthony’s Pier 9 to celebrate their milestone anniversaries of more than 20 years of service to the hospital.
Among those receiving accolades was Ben Holland of Newburgh, who began his career with SLCH 35 years ago. His work in the Food and Nutrition department includes helping the hospital’s Culinary Institute of America- trained chefs prepare and distribute meals. “Ben is an exemplary role model for his colleagues,” said Marc Uhrik, Chef Manager at the hospital. “During all of his years of service, he has rarely taken a sick day and is always very supportive of his co-workers.”
“I am very proud to work at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital,” said Holland. “I enjoy helping others and making a difference in their lives gives me great satisfaction.”
Allan E. Atzrott, President and CEO and Rob Ross, Senior Vice President of Operations presented the awards. “Tonight we celebrate employees who have dedicated their careers, in large measure, to the service of the St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital community,” Atzrott said. ”We look forward to an exciting future as we continue to bring progressive services, innovative technology and modern facilities to enhance patient care in the region.”
