SLCH’s Birthing Center Receives Gift from Hudson Valley Renegades
“Pitch for Kids” -- Enhancing Community Programs
Newburgh, NY— The Birthing Center at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) recently received a generous donation from Hudson Valley Renegades, and the sport’s franchise’s Pitch for Kids initiative. On January 10, HV Renegades presented the hospital with a check for $3,000, earmarked to assist the Center with purchasing needed equipment and enhance programs and services.
“The Renegade’s Pitch for Kids program is dedicated to help ensure programs and services for our area’s children thrive,” said Rick Zolzer, Pitch for Kids Director and long-time announcer with the Renegades. “The Birthing Center and SLCH’s other programs and services are integral to the health of this community and its children.”

Pitch for Kids was founded in 1999 to help support community organizations that provide programs and services that positively affect youth, their families and the community. Since its inception, the program has raised close to $250,000.
“The Hudson Valley Renegades have been a strong supporter of St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital,” said Sue Sullivan, SLCH Vice President of Advancement and Government Affairs. “Through their generosity, they are touching and improving the quality of life in our community.”
SLCH’s Birthing Center is dedicated to meeting the needs of parents-to-be, infants and their families. The newly renovated Center features state-of-the-art labor and delivery rooms with private bathrooms and showers, along with private and semi-private recovery rooms.
