Littman Cancer Center to Benefit from Local Run/Walk

Newburgh, NY – The Second Annual Lap 4 Life Run/Walk was held on Saturday, June 26, at Newburgh’s scenic Chadwick Lake Park. The event, hosted by Lap 4 Life Foundation Inc., raised money and awareness for Desmoid Tumor and Intestinal Transplant Research, with proceeds benefiting the Littman Cancer Center (SLCH), The Mount Sinai Hospital and Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center. A total of $25,000.00 was earmarked for SLCH’s Littman Cancer Center.

This year’s run/walk -- the second annual event -- included a
4-mile morning run/ walk, and kids ¼ mile fun run, with a daylong health fair featuring food and refreshments. Lap 4 Life honors the memory of Dr. Angelo Casabianca, who died in November 2009 of a complication relating to Desmoid Tumors.
