March 28, 2011 - Newburgh, NY – St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation (SLCHSF) recently announced the appointment of two well known community leaders to its Board of Directors (BOD).
The BOD proudly welcomes Eric Najork, President of the Collection Bureau of the Hudson Valley, Inc. (CBHV) and William D. Thorpe, Jr. an Orthopedic brace-fitting practitioner. Both men reside in Orange County and bring a depth of knowledge and business expertise.
Najork, also president of the New York State Collectors Association, has a background in strategic planning, managing and marketing. His business acumen and management skills will bring vital perspective to the BOD as it works toward supporting St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital’s mission to provide comprehensive health care services of the highest quality to our region in a patient-first environment.
Thorpe devotes much time giving back to the Orange County Community, having served on boards for the Elant Foundation, Center for Independent Living and the Children’s Interactive Museum in Middletown. He’s a member of the Newburgh Lions as well as many other non-profit organizations. He brings a sense of enthusiasm to the BOD and a great appreciation of the role of a community hospital.
“We’re always looking to add new talent and civic minded leaders to our Board and these gentlemen are great additions in both respects,” said James Letterio, SLCHSF Board of Directors Chair. “Both are dedicated to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital and are constantly seeking new ways of improving the communities in which they live and work.
As the hospital continues to grow and enhance services and move forward with facility expansion plans, St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation provides financial resources to help the hospital meet these demands and achieve its vision to be the hospital of choice for the region we serve.
