SLCH Names Star of the Month
Newburgh, NY - St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) has named Sister Diane Trotta, RN as its November Star of the Month. Sister Diane, a Cornwall resident, was selected as this month’s star for her commitment and dedication to clinical care, and specifically, her assistance with driving several hospital clinical quality initiatives.
She has been employed by the hospital for five years and is a Clinical Specialist in Quality Management.
“Sister Diane has worked diligently on several important quality projects, and was especially instrumental in working with the Stroke Taskforce to ensure SLCH’s Stroke Program gained recognition as a ‘Gold Plus’ quality provider by the American Stroke Association,” said Mary Kelley, SLCH Vice President of Quality Management. “Afterward, she took the lead in creating ‘congratulation baskets’ for every department involved in the initiative as a thank you. That’s a true demonstration of her stellar character.”
In response to the award, Sister Diane said: “I am honored for the recognition and to be a part of such a dynamic team of dedicated care-givers and support staff.”
St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital employees are nominated for the Star of the Monthaward by their co-workers, patients, physicians and/or visitors, based on Stellar Service Standards. These standards focus on making customers feel comfortable and important, providing timely and compassionate service and improving communication with our patients and staff.
