Newburgh, NY –
St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) is proud to announce Bruce Becking, RN in the Emergency Department as the July Star of the Month.
Recently during an overnight shift, Bruce was caring for a patient with a service dog. During the patient’s stay, he made sure the patient and the dog were well taken care of. Bruce went out of his way, taking several trips outside to walk the service dog. Since then, the patient has made many trips back to visit Bruce and thank him for such a wonderful gesture.
“Bruce is attentive to each patient and helpful to co-workers. He is nothing less than a team player,” said Barbara Hermance, Clinical Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department. “He is a great asset to SLCH and I couldn’t be more proud to work with him.”
Bruce has been a dedicated and caring member of the SLCH family since 2010, devoting 100 percent to every shift.
SLCH employees are nominated for the Star of the Month award by their co-workers, patients, physicians and/or visitors, based on Stellar Service Standards. These standards focus on making customers feel comfortable and important, providing timely and compassionate service and improving communication with our patients and staff.
